google earth

Google Earth is a program that is in your computer, where you enter in a address or a name that you want to see and it takes you right there, by looking at satellite photographs of any place in the world! Google earth is great because it is exciting to zoom in or out whenever you want. Also when you download it, it is free and you can see places that you want to see. For example "The Great Pyramid Of Giza". Also I have seen "The Coliseum" because I was studying it. And it was a lot of help! I SAW THE ROOF OF MY HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!

CRASH by Jerry Spinelli Book Review

Crash is a story about a boy who lives in South Carolina. He is in seventh grade, and his nickname is Crash. The characters are Crash, his family, and his friends Mike and Penn. Crash is a terrible bully, but he becomes a nicer person later on in the book. For example, Crash took Penn's turtle, but later he gives it back.
The themes of this book are friendship and caring. Crash and Mike were best friends since they were in first grade. Crash shows a lot of care for his grandfather, for example when his grandfather has a stroke, Crash went down as fast as he could and called the cops.
I think that this is a great book because there is a lot of dramatic stuff. For example when Crash actually hugged his grandpa, when he had a stroke, it was a powerful moment because Crash would never have done that before. He had changed a lot.

Pirates of the Caribbean 2: movie review

The movie " Pirates Of The Caribbean 2" is about 3 pirates named Jack Sparrow , Will Turner and Elizabeth Swan, who go on a journey to find the dead man's chest of Davy Jones. In this movie the special effects were great!!!!!! My favorite special effect is when Jack Sparrow and Will Turner are fighting in the water mill, because the director made it so convincing that you actually believe it. The water mill is a huge wooden wheel going out of control, rolling across the island, and they are fighting in it while it is going out of control!! I think the location was in the Aegean sea because near the Aegean sea there are a lot of islands near it. Ah! The action. Can not leave out the action in "Pirates of the Caribbean". My favorite part is when the pirate lords were all fighting against Davy Jones I think they should make "Pirates of the Caribbean 4" because the movie ended so so so so mysteriously.

Opinion Essay: Single Sex Schools

The good thing about a single sex school is that it is real easy for the students to get along. It is also great because they won't have to care about bothering or minding manners. But the bad thing is that when they grow older they would face a lot of times to meet girls and if they went to a single-sex school they don't know how to act. The other bad thing is that you don't know how to start a conversation. You also don't know how to joke around with people if you went to a single-sex school. So I think coed schools are better but I would like to go to the single-sex school because boys play tough and boys mostly play sports. The other reason that I like single-sex schools is that when I was in elementary school girls would stand in the field where we were playing, and get hurt and cry! So if I go to a single-sex school I would hear less crying.

Buzz Aldrin

Buzz Aldrin was the second man to set foot on the moon. He was interviewed by Time magazine because there is a new movie about Apollo 11. Buzz has graduated third in class in 1951 and got a bachelor of science degree! Buzz was promoted to second lieutenant and had serve the u.s. Air Force during the Korean war. Buzz was selected as the third crew member of Apollo 11 by NASA in October 1963. After coming down from the moon Buzz became depressed and alcoholic but he recovered.

He is now 77, and he had recently punched a guy that called him a coward and I think he did the right thing.

CLAMS

Pet clams are great because they don't have to have a cage and you don't have to clean their water very often, and you don't have to buy special food for them. They also take care of themselves. They don't need special treatment.

They are very fun to watch and they're great for people that like animals but can't take care of a a pet.

What Do I Expect From Middle School?

Next week I start middle school. I feel very nervous and scared because I heard that middle school is very harsh and hard, for example pop quizzes. I'm also nervous about homework, a lot of people say that middle school has a huge amount of homework. The locker worries me the most because my locker might be on one side of the school, while my math or any class is on the other side of the school! But what worries me the most is the Big Huge Schooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool! When I went to the tour around the middle school, because the middle school was so huge I was going sooooooo crazy. But on the bright side I could meet new friends and, best of all I get to have more than one teacher. Having more than more teacher is good because you could know more than one teacher in my first day --yay! ^.^ !!!!

My Vacation in North Carolina

For two weeks I went to Jacksonville, North Carolina. The waves at the beach were strong, and I found a lot of shark teeth, and we went to the aquarium^.^ In the aquarium I have seen eels , sharks, ect...... I have touched sting rays and Seaturtles, and Horseshoe crabs.

We got to see a lot of our relatives, and my cousin's dog was a lot of fun. Best of all I got to have pet clams!

I brought my clams home with me and I named them Jerry, Larry, Herry, Carry, Marry, Zarry. They're tiny baby clams, and I put them in a cooler and brought them on a plane. They are about an inch long, (my smallest clam is about a half inch) and I keep them in a plastic bottle, so I could see them really easily, but soon I am going to move them to a bigger plastic bottle.

What's interesting about these fellows is that I can see them move themselves with a foot. When I tip the bottle, they try to go back into the sand. As they grow they change their sex, from boy to girl. They have a neck, a mouth, a nose, and an anus. But they don't have a brain or eyes.

spiderwick mythical field guide (the griffin)

The field guide is a great book to learn about the mythical creatures and the more you read you can not stop. Today I am going to tell you about the griffin. The griffin is half eagle and half lion and it is also the king of the skies. They fly up high in the sky and look for food and their bones are commonly found. Sometimes scientists get a griffin bone mixed up with a dinosaur's bone. Poison does not effect griffins and their really strong to dragons, also the griffins hate horses.!_!

The SpiderWick Chronicles: book review^.^

Book Reveiw

The books I read are "The Spiderwick Chronicles," and the person who wrote these books is Tony DiTerilzzi, with illustrator Holly Black. I think this is a fantasy and mystery, and a mixture of Narnia, Harry Potter, and Series of Unfortunate Events. The main characters of this book are Jared and Simon, twin boys, and their sister Mallory. Jared is a smart but violent kid. Simon is an animal lover that always brings back animals from outside, and Mallory is a girl who is brave and loves to fence. Mallory says "If I can't be a Olympic fencer I am going to stab someone and go to jail!"

I like the violence and the excitement. I think I should recommend these books to fantasy lovers, because every single page is filled with fantasy. They also have a lot of humor, with funny, talkative creatures. These books are a series of five books, and the best one is book two. The illustrations are really detailed and cool. Each book is short, and quick to read. A fast reader could read one book in three hours!

A movie of these stories is coming soon.

I have been there and it is not that big and it is in seoul. it has a pond (as you can see) it has old fashion korean games and fake figures. There is no guide so you're on your own but it is not easy to get lost ^.^ it was built in 1394 and I think is a budhist temple

tiger

this cat might look scary but she is nice and she is an awesome runner and jumper. And ummm.... not to brag but she is better then all of your cats^.^ I have known many cats , but the most smartist cat I known was Tiger and the most dumbist cat I have ever known was Shamus, my cousin's cat! I think animals should be more respected and less skinny. Even though I AM talking about animals I am not a vegetarian. I repeat I AM NOT a vegetarian.Oh!!!!!!!!! I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee animals *-*.

This is Jaey!

I may be big but unfortunately I'm not what you think I am. I think Harry Potter the book is good but the movie is bad. I love animals! ahyyy. I am in 6th grade, and I live in Wellesley. I get good report cards but I get awesome grades on flute. I play the flute, and I play tennis really really well and I play golf really really really really really really really not well! So that's a good thing and I do not like to answer questions.
