Problems in Egypt

Egypt is located in Africa and people commonly mistake it for being in the middle east. Hosni Mubarak is the president of Egypt, however he has been in power for over thirty years and is now in his eighties. Today Egyptian civilians have broken out into protests, inspired by neighboring country Tunisia in hopes of overthrowing the government, like Tunisia did.
The citizens want to have more freedom and a different form of government. Egypt has been one of the most stable countries in its region, and is an ally of the U.S.
